umm... i've been called a korean, japanese, vietnamese, half mutt of european and asian descent, filipino and a whole list of other ethnicities but in reality.. i am nothing but Chinese. I'm like any other... American born Chinese. I can speak/understand Cantonese but pity that i do not know how to write or read it. a few simple characters... yes, but nothing too difficult. i thought it silly to devote a whole entry to my descent hence i answer u here.. but questions about anything is welcomed. gives me something to write, i suppose. :)anything else u'd like to knoe?
haha. what a funny response back. questions questions questions... uM, i have to ask.. how DID u come across my blog? and what do u mean when u say you can't sense any Chinese culture in me? just my curiosity. and as for my age... i'd look at my profile if i were u. it should say. :)
WELL.... for starters, i find it extremely amusing that u've linked Californians to facades and mindless, self-indulged, spoiled brats(at least that is what i sensed).
secondly, 18 is simply a number... it has no meaning, no foundation as to what edifies a mind or person in general. on the other hand as an antagonist, 18 is not a small number after all.
and lastly, the Chinese culture has its roots in my life alrite.. and i dont just mean my mandarin eyes, as you call them... (do i? i haven't noticed.. haha) what defines an American? what defines Chinese? what do i have to prove? :D
in conclusion, if u'd like to discuss upon this issue further, u're more than welcome to email me personally... however, i do not foresee future blog entries that favors this as a topic of thoughts; i invest in this blog only to aid my understand of life and social issues i find pulsating.
